St. Clair Superior Development Corporation welcomes the
2009 Year of the OX celebration!
The Year of the Ox public art project, in commemoration of the Chinese Year of the Ox, begins with the new moon January 26, 2009. The project celebrates St. Clair Superior’s growing Asian Community, its blossoming artistic community and its business community.
In celebration, SCSDC will install 25 fiberglass OX sculptures painted by Northeast hio artists & sponsored by dozens of local businesses throughout the St. Clair Superior Neighborhood, which encompasses the area from the lake to Superior and Payne Avenues from Martin Luther King Boulevard to East 30th Street and in other key locations.
In addition to the public art, the Year of the Ox Project also includes a variety of Asian art & culture education programs and events throughout the year!
